Re: Is this burn through and is it repairable

Re: Is this burn through and is it repairable
Lesson Learned... All in all its not enough of a blemish to force a repaint. It was my first rotary experience with a less forgiving product and pad combination. It took me a multiple days and multiple calls to Dana to get all the halograms I caused that day out and get my technique and product choices refined enough to finish out the panel. I have learned a lot from the time of this post and am still learning each time I pick up the rotary. I still am weary of 105 on a rotary... being new to it I tend to enjoy longer work times.
Looking back I am confident that applying a little extra pressure on top of a dry buff with 105 over a scratch caused this scorch mark. I did not go all the way through the paint (there is no paint transfer when tested) but I definitely caused some type of texturing to it.
Free is not as free as you think free is....
