Makita Rotary Question
I just purchased a Spot Buffing Pad kit and have had issues removing the standard backing plate and attaching the new smaller backing plate. I cannot remember how I attached the plate when I originally purchased the Makita and did not know if I needed a certain tool to remove it. I have looked at it but I do not want to strip anything trying to get the plate off. What am I doing wrong? What do I need?

Re: Makita Rotary Question
There's a black button on the top front of the silver housing. Depress that button to lock the shaft and spin off the plate. Jiggle the plate until it depresses.
