I just bought my rotary polisher-pads,tricks and help needed

So i guess that i have to use a finishing foam pad with a rotary to have the desired finish??

That is correct, alot of times you need a medium polish then go to a final polish and pad.

As for the foam pads,is it safer to use smaller pads(5,5'' instead of 7'' for example)??

I use the 3m wool pads and the 5.5 inch foam pads.
