3D Polishes

Wanting to try out the 3D polish line. A few questions:

1. Is (AAT) Adaptive Abrasive Technology the same as SMAT, meaning it does not break down?

2. Can all polishes be used in the sun?

3. Are they oil or water based?

1. They are SMAT but with chemical assist. Here's part of the product info for HD Adapt "HD ADAPT uses a combination of unique micro abrasive technologies that increases the efficiency and effectiveness of the buffing cycle by using both chemical and mechanical compounds that allows the user to quickly level defects while at the same time producing excellent gloss & clarity to virtually any surface. This specialized lubricant and cutting system enables the user to adapt to any type of polishing machine or polishing pad to not only quickly level away most defects, but also produce a fine polished result. HD ADAPT’s unique abrasives are designed to quickly level away heavy defects while leaving little to no residual micro-marring in one easy step."

2. HD Polish is the only one that it is specifically stated. As you may know you use very little product (4-6 pea sized drops on the outer edge of the pad for initial section, then 3-4 for suceeding sections) but for use in the sun I've seen posts by David Fermani where he recommends a little more in the sun.

3. I believe they are all water based--they must be because they are so easy to remove. After use I just wipe down with a MF dampened with ONR and have never had any interference with LSP bonding.

I have the cut and polish. I have not tried the new Green body shop line. I don't have a use for that. But I love the cut and polish.

Either one just different speeds.

I used both the new products today on some super hard paint. Both wiped off extremely easy and had long working time and little to no dusting.. I would like to see a little more cut from the AAT Rubbing compound. Was using a Rupes 21 and Meg mf pad.
