Optimum Ferrex & MDR
I'm trying to find out if these products are safe on ALL surfaces ? Including factory installed clear film ? like the film that is OEM applied on the front of 1/4 panels ?
My concern began when i saw that Ferrex was also a tar and wax remover. I have always avoided clear plastics/films with any tar and wax removers.

Re: Optimum Ferrex & MDR
Good questions about Ferrex and it compatibility with clear films. I didn't know they where coming out with this.
I believe Chris Thomas is the Optimum rep here, sure he will provide some information or find the answer, but not much info on the Opti forum yet. One question asked and answered so far; does it color change? Yes.
Maybe you can PM if you don't get answer after a little or join the Optimum forum and post and ask.
Every time I see a new product mentioned here I'll go and check the new products section here and usually don't find anything thinking I missed a "press release" or "New Optimum products for '15" thread but there's not

you may want to email Optimum directly for the correct answer. give them a call or posting on their Forum may be the best way to go. for my clear bar I will stay away from any acids in MDR. the FerreX is suppose to dissolve and remove tar, insects, and film adhesives . sounds good for paint but who knows what happens to clear film. on my Xpel you do not see any issues with stains etc so I will stick with washing.

Sorry, I do realize this is a busy time of year for you guys there at AG with dealing with customer service and trying get all the orders out from the sales events(awesome though, thanks).
But... you gotta get the word out so we can included em in our orders.

Wow, this is like magic. Okay... How about a complete year long review of Meg's paint protect with side by side comparisons to all the other coating on the market.
Just kidding, great job Nick!
Edit: links to Meg's forum not accepted

Thanks Nick, I appreciate the help.
For all those discussing the optimum forum... I gave up on that place about 3 years ago. VERY little information or feedback there. Another problem is response time. I didnt want to wait 3 month to get an answer so instead I came to one of the more faster reacting forums on the net regarding detailing questions - AGO !
