    More doesn't necessarily mean better the Rupes has a total of 140 lumens. You don't necessarily need it so bright because you can be blinded. 140 give or take some seems to be the right amount to reveal swirls on paint.

    It is also important to stick with single diode LED's. Many cheaper flashlights have 6-12 LED's instead of one and spread the light out. Makes it difficult to see a clear reflection.

    Personally I use a Duracell 500 lumen light. It has a low and high setting.

    Single diode=better quality! I meant to mention that in a head lamp thread on one of the forums. It makes a big difference.
