    WHAT exactly is CG Blacklight?

What is it? Glaze, Sealant, Wax? Does anyone know?

    It's a disappointment, that's what it is.

It's supposed to be a glaze, and sealant with some fine abrasives. But beading and longevity are abysmal.

Topped with v7 extends the life! But I do agree about the longevity issue. But it looks great on my wife's jet black BMW!

Its a sealant with some fillers. Not a bad combo with V7 spray but as already stated, longevity is an issue.

It's apparently a sealant but more of a glaze. Lasts up to 3 months in my experience. Agreed it looks great on dark colored vehicles. I always have one in my arsenal.

Maybe should have pulled the trigger. I dunno. Got v7. Would have topped with her seal. That might have helped longevity.

See it as a glaze. then you won't be disappointed bij the longetivity
that's not a sealant to me, a nuba lasts longer

If you use it as a glaze it will not disappoint. If you rely on it as a sealant don't expect much. You just have to have the right expectations.

If they sold it as BL Glaze is would be a good product. But it's not - it's sold as a glaze/sealant. However, I'm convinced Black Hole by Poor Boys is SIGNIFICANTLY superior as a glaze. So is Amigo by Prima. While BL is fairly easy to use - the other 2 are actually easier. Since the abrasives in it aren't really described, who knows if it has any bite to remove your old LSP? Then, some say it leaves marring on soft paint

I think if your looking for a paint cleaner / glaze - go with Amigo. If your looking just for a glaze- get Black Hole.

Re: WHAT exactly is CG Blacklight?

It does look amazing on Black. The first time I used it on my ChalIenger, I got looks and thumbs up from passers by that whole weekend.

Some products leave a thin haze on the black metallic fleck on my car, (megs ultimate is notorious for that in my experience) it makes a light grayish haze.

Blacklight on the other hand, seems like it intensifies the black. It's hard to describe, but it's almost like turning the brightness down on a TV. At a distance, it really seems to mute the reflection, so the car seems stunningly black.

Longevity is an issue. Even with the V7 spray 3 weeks to 1 month is pushing it. I once tried to extend the look by using a dedicated sealant like Klasse sealant glaze, but the blacklight effect was lost in the candy coating effect of the Klasse.
