Re: PlastX Review
I have a bottle sitting on the shelf that I think I only used once and never touched it again. Maybe I should give it a try on some headlights or tail lights.

Re: PlastX Review
it looks like you rubbed it on a headlight that was already clear and in good condition... hence if it was good before, rubbing this and buffing off, it will still look good...
if you use hand application and do "5 overlaps" with hands, at best you are just adding temporarily protection, you need a machine to do any real correction on headlights

Re: PlastX Review
I really feel I can keep my headlamps looking new as long I maintain them using PlastX.
Never used a machine on my RAV 's lamps but did have to on my truck which is 17 years old.
I can't tell you how many cars I see each day with frosted lamps, my sister being one of them, I told her once I'm well I'll fix them for her plus give her a full pain correction for all she does for me.

Re: PlastX Review
this product has been around forever and it does what it claims like most all megs products. i think i have a bottle in the garage somewhere that's many years old that i need to dig up lol. also, one product that works well on headlights (as well as smooth black trim) is dg601. does a great job on taking off the oxidation/dirt/contamination...

Re: PlastX Review
Just received PlastX in trade via the AGO Samples thread...thanks Biatchzxz (screen name).
The directions include: "Not for use on painted surfaces, not for use on coated surfaces or LCD or navigational system displays."
I understand that PlastX has diminishing abrasives in it. Is there something else in it that makes using it on paint ill advised?

It says not to use on paint so I don't, however I did a small spot and polished using PlastX and didn't see any ill effects but that doesn't mean it's the right thing to do,the company knows best.
Sure works great of headlamps though.

Re: PlastX Review
It removes water spots from chrome trim as well.
