    Duragloss 105/601 question

Im planning on doing this combo this weekend and im wondering how you guys mix it up. Ive heard of some picking up ketchup bottles at the dollar store and using those and how do you know your doing the right ratio? Thanks for any help and advise.

    Re: Duragloss 105/601 question

Find the little pop-top bottles in the travel/makeup area of like Walmart, Dollar General. Maybe 3-5oz sizes Take 1/4oz 601, 2oz. 105, shake well and enjoy.

Some say the mixture life isn't long (hours), others differ and say days and further out.

Just be sure to clean it out with some APC or such when you are done.

First off let me just say a little goes a long way and its best to only mix up what you need. I use 4oz sample bottles (gives me just enough to do a full sized car) available in most beauty care stores and sometimes dollar stores. the ratio is 4 to 1 so 4 parts #105 and 1 part #106. I just measure the bottle top to bottom and divide by 5 then just mark in 1/5th increments with a sharpie pen.

I keep reading about this combo. What is so good about it and does it replace your usual sealant and LSP?

You can also mix right on your pad eliminating the mixing and the additional bottles

Mustang, what I have heard is 601 is the bonding agent and 105 is the polish. I have heard that 105 can last quite a long time and when mixed with 601, even longer. I have read a few reviews of how wet the paint looks. Usually you have to put 601 down, leave it on and put 105 down on top then remove both. I have read of people mixing the two and eliminating the step which seems more reasonable to me. Anyone else could probably chime in more, just letting you know what I've read.

To the others, thanks for the info. I will try to find the 4oz bottles but if I dont have luck I'll just mix directly on the pad. Thanks for the help though.

so what is the shelf life of the mix? I have had some for 2 months and it SEEMS fine. Thinking of adding some 105 soon. Should I mix up a new batch?
