no fillers but does leave behind polishing oils that can mask remaining defects if not removed.
sometimes UC can finish lsp ready. It's good practice to clean the residual oils for the reason mentioned above or if you are using a sealant that requires a clean surface to bond to the paint.
It's not as critical for waxes but we're all about overkill here at AG...

would you use UC for a brand new car to create produstion swirls and imperfections? anything better?
assume not a one week old paint job, but a fully cured job like a BMW or Benz......made overseas...
I'd say in that case both of those products would be overkill for a new paint job. Remember to always use the least aggressive approach possible. If you want to stick to using the Meguiars line, i'd try scratch X first since its less aggressive than ultimate compound.
