Re: combining Duragloss 601 with 105 or 501
I spoke to Jerry about #105/#111 and he said that #105 is "newer" and contains more cleaner as well.
From my experience #111 is a bit harder to apply (can't see it that well) and it's a smaller bottle/more expensive...
Although when asked about multiple coats, Jerry said that it was better todo multiple coats using #111, since #111 contains the least amount of cleaner...

Richy, most of that was directed to Corey.

I bought a couple of cheap dollar store plastic ketchup dispensers and mixed 2 bottles up...one with 601/501 and one with 601/105. It worked like a champ. The only downside Jerry said is that the shelf life would be very short; measured in hours. I found that after 2 days it was maybe a bit thicker, but still working very well. This saves one step for each product (501 and 105) and saves time. In addition, you are still getting the benefit of the 601...flash cures, longer durability. I wanted to share this info as I know there are a lot of DG fans here on AGOL. Just mix up small batches and you'll be good to go. I used some more tonight and it was still fine after 4 days.
Was there an increase in gloss when combining the two?

No, appearance-wise, they're identical. It's just that this is a time saving procedure, that's all. When doing hearses, I needed to save some time due to their size.

I have yet to try any Duragloss products, but 601 and 105 are now on my wish list

good post...
I too have combo'd the DG's w/601 as a 4:1 in small plastic bottles from dollar store.
Made up small amounts but had plenty remaining.
Each day after I turned the small bottle over on it's top/bottom to see if it was flowing.
Kinda like turning a paint can over and over to keep it fresh.
The mixtures slid down the side of the bottle and continued to look like it was usable for almost a week it seemed. Became a bit thicker by 3rd day or so.
Weather was warm and dry.
Bottle in garage on shelf.

Thanks for bringing up this thread; you can see it's more than 2 years ago that this concept got introduced here. It continues to work well for many people.

Good to hear. I've had some mixed up for months. It seems after about 6 months I believe, it got too thick to be useful.

Re: combining Duragloss 601 with 105 or 501
I just ordered the 105 and 601 to do this. What is the easiest way to put it on etc, without using a buffer? I have never put this stuff on be fore so any kind of help is greatly appreciated. I will be topping it off some P21S 100% for that warm 'Nuba glow.

Nothing special as far as application. Like any other cleaner wax you want to work it in well to take advantage of the cleaning and polishing ability. You can remove it panel by panel, or let the whole car haze off before removing.
