I haven't heard that, most say that there is no needed cure time.

TW said you can layer this product. At what point do you reach diminishing returns? I have 2 layers on now. I figured every wash I'll use it, but I don't want to waste it. It is cheap however.

Even to me, Master of OCD, that seems a bit much. I've been using it once or twice a month and even then it doesn't seem to need "refreshed." I figure in the next few weeks, in anticipation of winter, I will put 2 or 3 coats on, just because. Last year, I was able to 'wax' the car in November and maybe I'll get a chance to do that this year too.
It will be interesting to see how the SNS holds up to an Ohio winter.

Who cares about diminishing returns..if you enjoy using it, go for it.

Two layers of TWSS may just be enough
to fill up the paint—low spots; et al.
OK...Even if two layers is enough:
•If what TW says about layering this
product is true, then that shouldn't stop
TWSS from being able to layer upon itself:
over, and over, and over, ad infinitum...
-Should it?
On the other hand:
•Do you remember the time when ”Wax
build-up” was once the talk of the town:
-Fact; or fiction?

Sounds like your washing method
must be kind of rough-n-tumble?

That’s for sure!

Re: Turtle Wax Seal and Shine
This stuff is nuts. Have not done long term yet, but it sure is cheap. I use it on the glass. I use a ceramic wax, topped with a ceramic spray. But for the winter (in South Dakota) I am going to use it as a top coating as a sacrificial layer for all the road salt. It's tough stuff, but I prefer the shine of my waxes / coatings.

Re: Turtle Wax Seal and Shine
I wouldn't say my wash method is "rough and tumble". I wash my car every 2 weeks or when time allows.
It's certainly a good value. As far as looks, it's good. I wouldn't say great, but it's good enough and durability is my main concern.

IME it's all about of the prep with SNS. Loach here on the forum and his Youtube channel is WaxMode has gotten almost 5-6 months longevity from it when he polished before application. I applyied it on a bare paint but just with a thorough wash as a prep. Know that I applyied it in high humidity as it started to rain directly after the SNS was applyied. And I got a little bummed when I noticed it where totaly failed after 6 weeks. I do have given it a chance more and applyied it again in better weather conditions. Much better experience when I applyied it and some weeks in now and the water behavior is way better this time. So when it comes to the cure time. I would not apply or get it wet at least not sooner than a couple of hours after the application of the SNS. It's seems like it's something in it that degrades when it gets wet to soon. The Car Craft Auto Detailing Channel on Youtube did mention this when he did a review of the SNS. That he saw a fast degrade in the behavior if doing some beading and sheeting testing. The chemical resistant ability seems to be doing great even if it gets wet to soon as you have seen on many other channels where they do chemical torture testing with it. So I recommend you to let it cure as long as possible before it gets wet. To get the most out of it in the longrun from SNS.
When it comes to the layering of SNS. Remember in the right conditions when applyied it's a very durable protection. So it performance is great even after a wash or 2. There is no need to be topping it regualary after every other wash. So if you want to cause of the TW own recommendation you can do it but don't need to. Then it's also very hard to say how much longer longevity from it you get from layering it constantly. At one time I think that you come to a point where the base coat layer don't has it's stronger bond as in after the first application after a polishing prep. Say you have the 5 months longevity from it's base protection. If you keep topping it up and stop after a few months. You don't get 5 months longevity from it from that point out. So it's not so easy to get to know how it all works when you topping the base protection. I useally goes from the looks from it and when I think that I will be needing to be starting over to fresh bare paint. Also when you are washing you don't always gets it perfectly clean and layering products locks this in and you get like the wax build up so the clarity get lower.
