Polish Angel Esclate and Viking Coat

    Discalimer:

Polish Angel Products are available on PBMA Autopia Car Care Online store.

I picked up some PA products on the recent sales that Autopia had.

    So let's get to it.

Today I'll be reviewing Polish Angel Esclate and Viking Coat.

My Nissan Rogue was purchased in February 2015.

I hadn't done much to it since my initial new car detail. Washed it about 3-4 times since then. So it was over due for a detailing, especially after the 1,300 mile Thanksgiving road trip.

I used CG Citrus Wash in Gloss in a higher concentration in my Wolfgang Foam gun to wash it and Megs Waffle Weave towels to dry it. These work great and are very economically priced.

I used my Rupes Duetto with a Rupes White pad to apply the PA Esclate. Rupes Mini with a Rupes White pad for the tight areas.

A little Esclate goes along way. I squeezed and dabbed it on with the flat top of the bottle.

On a 200ml bottle I did my entire Rogue and barely dented the bottle so don't let the size of the bottle fool you.

Esclate is an excellent product. It is a pre-wax cleaner with some light correcting properties. I did 3-4 section passes at a nice smooth steady motion on speed 5 with my Duetto. I worked larger 4' x 4' sections as the product has great working time. Removal was effortless.

Half way through the job I applied the Polish Angel Viking Coat to the side I had finished with Esclate. I did this to get ahead as the recommended curing time is 45 minutes on the Viking Coat. I then went back and finished with the Esclate then applied VC to the rest of the finished vehicle.

I used my Rupes Mini with an LC Blue Pad to apply the VC. Very little of this is required to coat the vehicle. Again, a little goes a long way.

Here's what the VC looked like applied. White is so hard to see. You have to be very thorough to make sure to get full coverage when doing white as it's hard to see where product has been applied.

After 45-60 minutes I removed the VC with Black 420gsm laser edge cut micro fiber towels. You could see the VC on the black towels as I wiped it off.

Most importantly, removal was effortless. I give VC and Esclate solid 10's when it comes to removal.

And here is the finished results:
Note, all photos were taken outside under natural lighting with my Galaxy S6 and NO flash. Thye have not been retouched either.

It really makes the Metallic Flake POP! Nice and slick and shiny too.

Notice the reflection of the palm trees from across the street!

My paint was in good shape which is what PA recommends Esclate for.

These two products are a great 1-2 combination. I am very pleased with the results and thus give PA Esclate and Viking Coat

I'll update on the durability as time goes on.

    Happy New Year!

    Looks good.
So you had only washed your new Nissan 3 times since February? Wow. Would've loved to see some before pics..

It rains practically every day during the summer down here so really not too bad. It was just in the past month or so that it started showing the dirt. White is the way to go down here in Florida that's for sure. I did the whole vehicle with that one white pad and as you can see not any embedded dirt transfer. I can't remember what I put on it in February but there's a thread out there some where. It did the trick too, that's for sure.

Polish Angel Esclate and Viking Coat

So it passed the baggy test prior to this polishing?

What about the wheels & tires? What did you use on them the whole year? How'd they hold up?

I honestly don't get that into my daily driver, no baggie test etc. No clay. I hadn't done the tires in months either.

That's what I have my Genesis Coupe garage queen for LOL.

I just keep my DD sealed and don't really sweat the rest of the stuff. Clean inside and keep it protected, I'm good to go. I keep up on it more during the two love bug seasons we have down here.

Myself and (281) coated my Sti last year with PA invincible and Cosmic. Just as you said, the PA products seem to go forever and effortless removal. I have been more than happy with everything I've tried from PA.

Great to know, I ordered those over the weekend, I don't have a job planned for them yet.

It's a brand new car. You don't really get into your daily driver? You hadn't done the tires in months?
