Go to about 30 seconds in on this one. Most videos are of two people, but there are plenty out there with one person doing the work.

They're all about the same (providing yours isn't steel).

I'm guessing it's not aluminum because it's just way too heavy to be picked up the way the guy in the video did it.

The video I posted is the same as the video in the above post.
If I were to video the setup I would be mimicking the guy in the video.
Guess I took it wrong then.

    Re: car canopy

Mine is way more like this one. Notice there are 2 (two) guys helping with this. It would be extremely difficult albeit not impossible for one guy to do it.......... but, at 67 y/o and all sorts of aches and pains and physical limitations, I don't wish to try it.
I found another one that shows one guy setting up a canopy, notice all he has to go through, plus all the "extra" clamps he's using.. plus this video is in "fast" mode also, just like the original one you posted. So, we both have found videos to prove our point, which was NEVER my intention, but, let's not cherry pick just to prove a point. It's a little too childish for my tastes. BUT, wanted to show the additional video and the difficulty he had, plus his canopy is way lighter than mine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fq-15TYZdNE

What's the difference between a rich man and a poor man?
The rich man has a canopy over his bed, the poor man has a can o' pee under his bed.

    Peace,

And there's no way you could possibly be going about the set up the proper way.

Here's a video of a 10'x10' canopy being setup by one person. This isn't the same brand canopy I have, but there is absolutely nothing different about the set up process.

    You're welcome.

    Re: car canopy

I use 2 12x12 easy up canopies from Tractor Supply Company. 5 minutes each at the most to set up. Cheap.

I also have 2 hoop style AutoShelter brand shelters that I set up when I am going to be at a fixed location for a period of time. $399

It is also from TSC. Depending on where I set them up and the conditions, I have stakes, concrete blocks, concrete anchors with stainless steel cable, and 35 gallon barrels to fill with water for anchors.
