Does anyone use ONR as a Waterless Wash at 256:1 dilution rate?

I hear Waterless Detailers mention they use ONR as Waterless Wash at 256:1 dilution rate. This means they will fill a bucket with 2 gallons of water, add an ounce of ONR and dunk their spray bottle in the solution and fill. Then spray the solution on a panel, wipe the dirt off with a dry or slightly damp microfiber towel and then buff to a shine with another dry microfiber towel. Does anyone use this method? Most quality RTU Waterless Wash is about $24.95 for a 32oz bottle. If ONR works fine at the 256:1 dilution, it will make 1024 (32oz) bottles of RTU Waterless Wash for the $40 (gallon)

i dont really believe that would do all that much cleaning or "waxing". probably just removing most of the dirt by wiping with water and not leaving much of a wax on it

I'd rather use something listed to be able to be used as a waterless wash.

    I agree.

Waterless Detailers is using the rinseless dilution ratio, which is more dilute than what I think should be used, if you were to attempt this. They're pretty much just using the GDM.

I wouldn't try it. For an instant detailer, the directions say to use 1:16. So 1:256 sounds a bit light to me.

Although if you have a black vehicle and time, try various ratios and tell us your thoughts. I'd be interested in someone being able to provide some data to help others out.

Please pay no attention to that bit of misinformation.

Optimum, no less, recommends that ONR be diluted at
    an: 8 ounces/per gallon ratio for a Water-less Wash.

Try these in the one and two gallon version. Should get at least one vehicle done

Lowes, Home Depot sell these in various styles, etc...

Get a dedicated waterless product, don't cheap out here. You don't have to get the RU, that'll always be more expensive. I just picked up some CG Ecosmart concentrate. 1:16 isn't 1:256, but winds up being a lot cheaper than the RU.

I use it with this sprayer and love it, I have a 2 gallon one like in the previous post, I like that too but the smaller one is perfect for waterless imho. I pump it 15-20 times and can finish an entire car without having to re-pump

I would never trust that WW dilution ratio; it's way too thin, IMO. It would barely turn the water blue, let alone encapsulate the dirt properly.
