    Rupes Microfiber Yellow Polishing Pads

I'm literally sitting in front of the car I've been working on, waiting for the Ultimate Wax to haze.

Now, I understand that Ultimate Polish has it's filling abilities, but it still contains a small smat abrasive set. This product combined with the Rupes Yellow Microfiber Polishing Pad, and the Porter Cable 7424xp (speed 5) is a very potent combination. It made short work of defects that the white CCS pad had it's battles with. Even those gruesome door handle area nail/key abrasions were met with little resistance.

This was my first go-round with MF discs on my PC, but it definitely won't be my last. I really enjoyed the immediate response of the machine, when fitted with this pad. The vibration was more noticable, but managed by monitoring grip.

This encounter with the Rupes MF pads has hastened my desire for a set of Rupes machines (Duetteo and Mini), and possibly the entire compliment of pad/polish offerings.

I'm still going to try MF from Megs, LC, and B&S, but this experience will be difficult to surpass.

I still haven't tried my blue pads yet....

Check them out! I can't imagine you'll be disappointed!

Just a heads up, and I am not 100% certain on this, but you should bring your speed down a bit. I believe they recommend goin at a slower sped to decrease heat because the high heat can cause the pad to seperate. I know that's true for the megs. Not 100% with the rupes. I'm sure someone else can verify or deny this.

    Thanks!

After each section pass, I fluffed the mf nap, and didn't detect much heat. Actually, it was a lot less than I encounter with foam pads.

Either way, thanks for the heads up!

Speed 5 is perfectly fine, especially with a PC.
