Did you put that cap on the UTTG because it leaks? Mine leaks bad.
Thank you. I have that problem too. I solved it by changing the cap... Harbor Freight has little 8oz. squeeze bottles that come in a 3 pack for about $3. The tops fit the UTTG bottle perfectly. It stays on and allows for better control onto an applicator.

So Chris what are your favorites?
Thanks, Al. I have gotten that question a lot. For the integrity of the testing I am hesitant to state any favorites so early. I like and dislike certain aspects of many. I will say that no single product can cover all situations. A professional detailer should have a variety of them to deal with different situations.

    Epic as one said,Epic.
Very well done, I can imangine how much time and effort went into your Epic review
I have many, many hours invested in this. From finding test pieces, observing and photographing, sorting and editing photos and, finally, the write up I would estimate somewhere between 40-50 hours.

I have been asked to add various other products to the test. I have spent a lot of money on products just to test. The ValuGard ETR III kit cost ~$90 with shipping and I've been disappointed in it, overall. For this reason I am hesitant to invest more money for products I may never use beyond the test. If you would like to see certain products added please contact the manufacturer/distributor and provide them a link to the write up. They can then contact me if they are interested.

Really nice review and write-up. Since not all trim is created equal, it was good to see various products tested on several different pieces. Thanks for sharing with us.

Awesome review. Commented on other site as well. Thanks for investing in the time to give each product a chance to perform.

Since some plastics seem to do better with certain trim products it would be cool to have a guide of which trim product works best with each manufacturer's plastic. For example, maybe Honda's trim does better with Meguiars Ultimate and maybe Ford trim does better with Poorboysworld.

It's just not a test without WG. Maybe someone could send a sample. If not I can order another bottle and send some. Outstanding review with the products you used. Best I've seen.

First I want to thank you for taking the time to compile this review/results. Outstanding job.

I was surprised the Turtle Wax performed as well as it did.

I'm going to have to try the WG trim restorer since others have mentioned it in this thread.

    Good job.

Yep, exactly, the WG is the best I have seen personally and a little goes a very, very long way to boot.

    Nth-

This was a fantastic review! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and felt it was an eye opener in many ways.

I've used both Gtechniq C4 and Poorboys on my cars, and I have to agree with your assessments as well: C4 does a great job, and I was initially impressed with Poorboys, but after a while it was as if nothing was there.

It's becoming more and more clear to me that coatings are the future when it comes to protection and durability. Hydrocarbons may look really nice, but I question the protection and longevity.

Perfection is attained by slow degrees; it requires the hand of time. (Voltaire)
