    Exclamation Gtechniq....unboxing and test

For the last four years detailing product options have sky rocket. New names, new methods and new science has arrived to the scene. And after testimonials, reviews and test I was looking for my chance to try Gtechniq.
    Some pics.

Gtechniq Panel Wipe. Gtechniq C1. Gtechniq Exov2.

    EXOv2

    Can you say Hydrophobic??

I took it outside to see how it works. Took a panel in descent condition to lay down a coat of C1 to try it out.

Sprayed some Panel Wipe. This is some serious stuff. Product ability is very tangible for the touch. You can actually sense the solution working.

Thanks to this little detail in the C1 bottle you wont have bad accidents were you end up spilling the contents at once. Nice.

Saturate but dont over saturate, you dont want to over do it.
You are losing money if you do!!

Important to screw the cap back on, and put in a safe and cool place. You dont want to drop this cristal container and lose your product.

this is how my thin coat of Gtechniq looked like. :inspector:

After removing residue, from a cloudy look I notice the change on the surface, a progressive change as the clock kept adding the minutes.

Very happy with ease of use and quality of the finish. Got to mention that next early morning, since the car sleeps outside is always wet. All wet except
for the fender. It's very impressive how this science works. Thanks for looking.

I've only use Opti-coat is it applied the same? I have a customer I'm doing paint correction for Friday and he bought this to have me apply for him.

Once you have your surface as free as possible from marks, stains, and defects saturate you cotton applicator and spread an even thin coat.
Allow to set and remove. This video goes in detail of application.

The gentleman in the 1st video says something to the effect of....don't hold the bottle in your hand while applying because the C1 will cure because of the body heat?

I have never heard that before.

If it cures at 98.6 Fahrenheit...we are in trouble down here in Texas, where it is frequently over 100 degrees

    Re: Gtechniq....unboxing and test

The Gtechniq finish looks great. EXO will really knock your socks off. It leaves the best tactile feel of any sealant. One giant word of caution though with EXO. Last week I had an emergency engagement that I didn't have time for a full detail wash at home. So I headed to the local touch less car wash for a cheap wash only. It nearly removed all of the EXO sealant layer on the car. I know it had to be the wash soap as the layer was still intact where the automatic sprayer could not reach. On Gtechniq's website (in the blog section) they warn about avoiding high alkaline wash solutions and to use them to remove EXO. Gtechniq used Iron-X as the example high alkaline wash but I never thought the automatic wash was strong enough to nearly completely remove it though. Sure I expected some to be removed due to the strong solutions but it was way stronger than I ever expected. The EXO layer was about four months old and had already undergone 8-9 washes with Megs Gold Class without any problems.
