Ok so I got bored, and the fact that CG Hybrid V7 contains alcohol, has led me to this product testing.
Vehicle run down: 2011 Scion TC, has seen body work and repaint a few times. Silver metallic paint. Surfaces were prepped with IPA. No correction or decontamination besides IPA. This car is garage kept, and doesn't see many washes, maybe an automated here or there.
Hood: collinite 476s, drivers side hit with Hybrid V7.
Front fenders: CG XXX paste wax, driver side hit with Hybrid V7.
Is it a fair comparison to use vertical and horizontal surfaces? I'm no pro, but beading is influenced by surface tension and gravity.

Yes, BUT, I'm trying to compare the effects of Hybrid V7 with the two waxes.
It would be very different if I was comparing the 476s on the hood and fender. But since the waxes are on the same panel (horizontal/vertical) I wouldn't think there should be much variance.
If that makes sense?
Maybe for next time, I'll split the door in 4. That way, all waxes and QD's are on the same vertical panel.
