Re: 3M Paint Defender (Spray-on Clear Bra) Review

    Forgot to mention...

...that the ArmorAll product comes in three colors, clear, white, and black. Not sure if it's the same type of product as the 3M product or not, but they look similar. With the ArmorAll product you can make some cool racing stripes if that's your fancy. Decide you don't like them, then simply remove them.

I haven't used plasti-dip so I can't compare. But it sounds like it can be trouble to take care of for extended periods of time. I honestly don't know for sure though.

I seen a 4-door Dodge pick-up the other day that looked like the entire paint surface had been sprayed with that bed-liner stuff and then wiped down with something to make it shiny. Gawdiest lookin' thing I've seen for awhile now. However, I bet that truck won't rust...I'm guessing he has also undercoated it well too.

Plasti dip will never lay flat. It will impart its own orange peel.

With this it will lay flat just like a clear bra.

Glossifier on top of regular paint will not lay flat, and will give the paint a matte appearence. It doesn't really dry clear. It works good over plasti dip, but not paint. The 3m stuff dries clear and smooth. It's love bug season here in south louisiana, so my next day off I plan on trying to get ahold of the 3m stuff and do the bumper and grille on my f150.
