Review: Gtechniq G Wash - New Fav!

    Hey all!

So a little while ago, we all saw this pop up on BOGO. When I saw it, I wondered what it was like, so I finally dipped on it and tried it out!

    Gtechniq W1 G-Wash 250 ml.

Description: Gtechniq W1 G-Wash has been specifically formulated to work in harmony with Gtechniq’s range of protective coatings. This high foaming car wash breaks the bond between the dirt particles and your vehicle’s paintwork and lubricates particles, thereby enabling the safest possible removal of traffic film.

Directions: For light dirt, use 2 caps per bucket and 4 caps for heavy dirt. 2-3 for foam cannon application.

    Observations:
    - Fairly thick, like maple syrup
    - Cherry Scent - quite nice
    - Decent quality bottle and packaging
    - Dissolves quickly

    In Action:

So I tested this out on my Lexus RX350 (with its foose rims Chris ). I am looking for cleaning ability, LSP friendliness, foaming, and look.

Upon foaming (3 caps in the cannon), I was BLOWN AWAY by how this stuff foamed up!! I made Mr. Pink and Honeydew look weak and thin! They were so thick you could scoop it up with your hand and layer it! Very sticky too!

Now with the exception to the Smart Glass application, this car has no Gtechniq products. There is a thick coat of Zymol Carbon. For this reason, I was a little worried about how LSP friendly this soap would be because most of Gtechniqs products are long lasting and semi permanent.

I am happy to report that this soap is completely LSP friendly. No stripping or cleansing to note!

Water a quick blow dry, I took some after shots! I have to say this soap really does not add any extra gloss to the car, if any. With that being said, I am very pleased with the results!

    Pros:
    - Extremely High Foaming
    - Reasonably priced, not the cheapest by any means but in the reach for anybody on this forum
    - Easy to use, highly concentrate
    - LSP Friendly

    Cons:
    - Only available in the 250ml size at AG, have to go to Gtechniq USA to get the larger ones (not a con, just a note)
    - Doesn't add any gloss

Verdict: I would totally recommend this product! I love its simplicity and the sheer amount of foam it produces! Being a good cleaner, whilst retaining its LSP friendliness. Again I wish I bought a larger size! New favourite!

My cart already has 4 GTechniq products in it, and I'm trying to get away from anything Chemical Guys. Looks like a 5th GTq product now, thanks!

    Nice job!

However, how long after you sprayed the foam did you take the picture? It looks very watery, not thick, IMO.

I did notice that, unfortunately the picture really didn't turn out tbh! If you look at the hood and the windshield, you can kinda see how thick it is. I also blame my pressure washer, it just can't make thick foam, although this foams a lot more than my other snowfoams.

Thanks pal. I just went over to gtechniq usa to order some G1, but, they're out of stock. I did order C2v3, though.

Nice review! I was going back and forth over whether to pick this up on BOGO or not. After the review, I'm bummed I did not.

It is good to have a few non-gloss enhancing washes in the arsenal.

How well did the product lubricate? Did it feel slippery when using the bucket?
