    Review: Meguiars D181 Leather Cleaner

This product hasnt been reviewed before so I thought id give it a shot as my first official review on AG . Awesome underrated product that i feel should get more attention due to its cleaning ability.

    Product: Meguiars D181 Leather Cleaner

    Price: Price: $27.99 128oz (1 Gallon)
Note: This review used the 32oz "sampler" size Ag does not carry

Product Link: Meguiars D181 Leather Cleaner

The vehicle that this was tested on was a 2003 Cadillac EXT that was previously used as a work truck and needed to be cleaned up for its new owner. These seats were hammered and I didnt think my usual APC would cut it and I recently ran out of my usual go to Wolfgang Leather Cleaner.

These were the seats before anything was done besides a vacuum to remove debris.

And here is a closer shot of the stain and grime.

I proceded to spread the product with a spray bottle and worked the product in with a small upholstery brush to get good agitation. Unfortunately I dont have any pictures of the process but the product lathered well without foaming too much or running all over the place. Below is a after of the drivers seat with the horrendous stain before.

And here are some assorted 50/50 shots of the product results.

And here is one more before and after of the center armrest which I thought would not come up due to horrible blue jean staining and grime.

Final thoughts: This is a excellent cleaner that is cost effective for production detailing and cleans very good for the money. It also left the seats feeling very soft and did not leave any residue behind. My only gripe is that AG does not sell it in 32oz versions which is the size i bought since i didn't want to gamble having a product I wouldn't like and having a whole gallon of it. Although I will say that I will buy this product again and will be getting it in gallon form since its worked so well for me.

The product description says its supposed to be a citrus scent but really it smells like any regular APC. Not overwhelming but you wouldn't want to smell it if it was sprayed at you. And I would definitely recommend this for cleaning hammered leather as well as regularly maintained leather since it cleans so well.

Re: Review: Meguiars D181 Leather Cleaner

ive been needing a dedicated leather cleaner and ive tried a few with some good results but they required lots of elbow grease. Did this require alot of work to get those stains out or did the product make it fairly easy?
