Re: Review & How-To: CarPro Hydro2 Touchless Silica Sealant

I washed the Mazda for the first time last weekend since applying Hydro2. Two weeks worth of built-up dirt and road grime was effortlessly removed by Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine.

I was especially impressed with how easy the wheels were to clean. Brake dust and dirt was removed by ONR without a struggle.

    So far so good!

I bought a bottle in my last order. Im not sure if this is a dumb question but do you have to use the entire batch (water mixed with product) or can you store the leftovers for future use? Can I make a batch now and use it say...3 months from now?

If you use distilled water the pre-made batch should be good for a couple months.

    **UPDATE**

It has been a little over a month since I applied Hydro2 to my daily driver, a 2010 Mazda 3 (sits outside 24/7).

I gave the car its second wash since applying the sealant yesterday afternoon and I'm happy to say it's still going strong. Dirt, grime, bird droppings, etc are removed without effort. Dust attraction, or lack thereof, is superb as well.

Well I have had a rental car for the past week and its a black Dodge with no beading and in very poor shape. I wanted to detail it prior to the weekend but warned we will have lots of rain. So I decided to grab this after a quick wash and spray "everything". The beading on everything is very notable and really looks nice even in the rain storms, and I can actually see out all the glass.

I did note some streaking on black paint and not sure if it was Hydro or something else on paint prior. Doing it over again I likely would have done more extensive wash but hey its a rental ....

I had some streaking also when I first tried it on a dark blue Mini, talked to Corey, and it was probably becaused I waited too long before rinsing... so now I only apply to one panel or two before rinsing with the pressure washer and results are perfect now!
