SON1C Synopsis 17 : Chemical Guys - Deep Reflections XP
I've been helping my buddy restore his 96 gt, it was in need of one of autogeeks trashed make overs lol, I've been teaching him how to machine polish and how to properly detail as a whole, he's come tremendously far, we clayed the car with mothers clay, huge difference.. then we 105'd the car, another huge improvement, but we've both been pretty busy, finally schedule sync up and I brought over the secret weapon Deep Reflections XP
note this item I believe in discontinued and being phased out, to me it seems like chemical guys version of Megs d151, if you want to achieve similar results I'd just pickup d151 and blacklight probably, however on with the review!
I buffed the car out while he treated the wheels with bfwdps and then buffed behind me, took about an hour, it made an awesome improvement, really refined it
what I like about this product so much is that its not just a polish and a wax... it has a glaze built in as well, so it corrects, what it can't it fills, and then leaves a layer of protection, I will add though, this protection was not very slick
I used it in conjunction with my favorite line of pads, hydro techs (5.5" low profiles to be exact)
after completion and a bit of a cure period, buffed out the entire vehicle with black fire wet diamond paint protection with a crimson pad, let it haze for 30, buffed it, let it cure for 30, and then applied dodo juice rainforest rub on top of that
I love bfwdps, its an incredible product, and a little truly does go a long way, rainforest rub didn't seem to go very far, but it was pretty cold out, it definitely added to the slickness, didn't notice much on improved looks over bfwdps
now onto the pictures!
Wasn't much light to work with, but in the three pictures above you can really see how this three step combo really brought out the true beauty of his pacific green paint
Thanks for viewing!
