Product Review: Optimum No Rinse w/ Carnauba
Recently the fiancé and I got to experience a really fun trip to Vegas; coincidentally the trip just so happened to be because I was the lucky winner of the SEMA Ticket Giveaway hosted by the awesome staff at AutoGeek! Needless to say, I never really win anything, so to say this was a huge deal is an understatement.
My lady isn’t much into cars, so she enjoyed most of our time in Vegas with her sister, which in turn allowed me to devote tons of time to having fun at the SEMA show. Great cars, great people (I’ll make a thread soon with loads of photos), great experience.
Needless to say tons of samples were given away, great deals were to be had, and for an average Joe like me who enjoys this as a hobby it was amazing to see some of the new products!
I entered the Optimum booth on Day 3, and what do I spy with my eye, their new ONR w/ Carnauba. Chris @ OPT ever so kindly gave me an 8oz bottle to have fun with!
It rained here today in Los Angeles, so I figured what better time to do a wash and review of the new product.
Here it is:
Wash media:
I wont bore you with my method, or with before shots. I will say, I always presoak before a rinseless so I used ONR w/out Nuba as the presoak. My car wasn’t heavily soiled just some dried up rain spots and some light dust, you all know what that is like, so it was perfect for on ONR wash.
After:
In my experience with ONR, ONR w/ Carnauba is much the same. The directions were identical. However, the surface left over is noticeably slicker. (I will note, I recently detailed the car after driving it back from SEMA. I clayed, used Blackfire GEP w/ black pad, and applied two layers of BFWD) so perhaps that had something do with the “slick” factor. However it is noticeably slicker than the non-carnauba ONR. It left a real nice shine, cleaned really well and I was really pleased. I am a recent user of the new Pinnacle Waterless and Rinseless and the slickness and shine is almost on par. Granted it is just my opinion, I am sure you will and will enjoy forming your own.
This was my first review so hope you all found it enjoyable and worthwhile, and enjoyed my little story style as well.
Thanks everyone!
C

Thank you for the review Chris
If I can add to your results, the ONR with C also dries easily as in no streaks (is what I found cleaning my 2 black vehicles)
(love the smell as well!)

Does the label list a QD dilution?
It's not that I have a thick skin, it's really just that I'm too dumb to know when I've been insulted.
