Review: Wolfgang Cockpit Trim Sealant
I know I'm a little late to the party for the new Wolfgang products, but thought I'd share my experience with Wolfgang's new Cockpit Trim Sealant. Big thanks to Nick for sending me some of the new products, even though I told him I wouldn't be able to do reviews right away.
I realize the lighting is different in some of the pics, so I apologize. The clouds and the sun were having a war.
The Product:
Wolfgang Cockpit Trim Sealant
Quick Look:(From Autogeek.net)
Seal and protect all interior surfaces with one product!
Now you can keep the interior of your car looking and feeling new with a single product that’s incredibly quick and simple to apply. Wolfgang Cockpit Trim Sealant is an invisible, advanced synthetic polymer coating that provides a durable coating of protection and beauty to all leather, plastic, vinyl, rubber, wood and metal interior trim! Wolfgang Cockpit Trim Sealant replaces the need for multiple products!
Application Directions:(From Autogeek.net)
Application Directions:
1. Interior surfaces need to be clean and dry before applying Wolfgang Cockpit Trim Sealant.
2. Work on a cool surface in the shade.
3. Shake bottle well before and periodically during use.
4. Apply a small amount to a clean foam applicator and then work into the surface.
5. When working on smooth, hard surfaces use a separate clean, dry microfiber towel to wipe-off any excess product.
6. If less shine is desired on plastic, rubber, vinyl and leather surfaces, lightly buff with a clean, dry microfiber towel two minutes after application.
Products Used:
- Wolfgang Cockpit Trim Sealant
- Detailer's Waterless Auto Wash
- Special Purchase Light Blue MF
- Yellow Foam Pad
Test Area & Prep:
The dash on my 2002 F-150 will be the test subject. Only the gray panels on the dash will be treated. This was not done in the shade, but the dash was warm to the touch. Not burning hot.
Dash wasn't really dirty but rather just dusty. Sprayed DP Waterless Wash onto the MF, and wiped the dash down.
Application:
Before
Sealed (right half of pic) compared to un-sealed
Finished

My thoughts:
I like it.
Very easy to apply, nice matte finish, and left a slick feeling. It was a little greasy right after application, but after about an hour that feeling was completely. I like that it can be used pretty much on all of the interior, even though I only did the dash. I really look forward to using WCTS in the future.
Something I discovered upon when attempting to smell the product, was that it had no recognizable smell to me. The one smell I immediately thought of was the smell of Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant. Which again, I really can't describe. The feeling of the product, right after application and spraying it on my fingers, was very similar to WETS as well. Also related to WETS, was that a little goes a long way with the WCTS as well. So this got me thinking since WCTS says it can be used on vinyl. I decided to try this on the exterior of my truck, specifically a section of my vinyl tonneau cover. The rest of the tonneau has nothing on it.
Same prep as the dash, but this was dirty.
Right after application
I will say that after about an hour later when I was leaving, I noticed the spot had turned into a matte/satin-sheen finish (sorry, no pics).
After the touchless car wash

Thanks for the review Chris! I am very interested in the durability on the bed cover as I have been looking for a product that is very durable for my fathers truck cover.

It's been about 2months since I applied WCTS to the corner of the tonneau cover.

If you're talking about exterior trim, I would go with Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant. That's been on the bed rails, as seen in the last two pics, for about 3.5 months.
At this point I'm really starting to wonder how different Cockpit Trim Sealant and Exterior Trim Sealant really are? Besides one being aimed at interiors and one for exteriors.
