I have a few of these spray bottles with the autogeek logo.
32 oz. Heavy White Spray Bottle, storage bottle, chemical sprayer
I actually like the standard spray head vs. the Spraymaster Lifetime Sprayer head.
The contents in the bottles has been consistent over the last year, an as the product would run low, it would be refiled and diluted to a correct mixture. Bottles that have had mixes in them include
- ONR V2 ?:1 *hasnt been used in quite some time*
- OPC 3:1
- Megs Wheel Bright 3:1
- 303 2:1
- Distilled water
- IPA *couple of these*
*and a few others I cant recall at the moment.
Saturday, my first day home in a while, I noticed a wet spot under the bottle for OPC. I look at the bottle and notice a slight crack on it's side. Later in the afternoon, I cleaned the wheel wells on my truck with the OPC in the spray bottle and the crack opened up when I sat the bottle on the ground.
I swapped the contents to a new bottle and left the cracked one on a table to view later. Fast forward to the evening and I start looking at the bottle. I'm not sure if having the diluted OPC 3:1 had an effect on the bottle after a year, but it crushed / shattered into dozens of bits when I squeezed it with my hand.
Has anyone else had a problem like this with these bottles? If so,
What chemical did you have in the bottle?
What mix ratio were the contents?
How long had the product been in the bottle?
I recently had a shipment arrive at the house with a couple of the clear version of this bottle. 32 oz. Heavy Duty PVC Clear Spray Bottle, storage bottle, chemical sprayer
I'll keep an eye on these, as one is now with the 3:1 OPC.
