Re: CarPro CQuartz DLux Review
One more quick question. Do I need to prep the surface with IPA? Or would something like Optimum Power Clean work? What % IPA mixture do you use to prep for Dlux?
Also, my other car has UTTG+ on the trim. If I wanted to use dlux could I use IPA instead of the mineral spirts you mentioned to remove the UTTG+?

Bump for an update, BobbyG.
It's been about 2 years, what kind of longevity did you get out of it?

Hi Drew,
It's important for the area to be clean and dry. While an IPA solution it's required according to the manufactures directions, I still like to give it a final wipe using it to insure the plastic is clean.
I use a mix of about 8 parts distilled water to 1 part Isopropyl Alcohol for general cleaning...
Ultima makes some fine products. To insure all of the Ultima product has been removed, I'd give it a thorough cleaning with full strength all purpose cleaner then a final cleaning with an IPA solution. You could also try mineral spirits then determine which works best...

The durability of CarPro DLux outperformed my expectations and lasted nearly 1 1/2 years.
Keep in mind that this longevity was on my rear-view mirrors which are more porus than a shinny plastic or smooth rubber. I suspect that the pores of the plastic soaked up more product therefore lasted longer...

Re: CarPro CQuartz DLux Review
Can you use on wheels? Car pro instructions say so. Has anyone done so, and what were slickness ease of cleaning and durability?

Re: CarPro CQuartz DLux Review
Bobby, do you recommend putting on dlux before or after you have polished paint in a full detail?
