Re: CarPro CQuartz DLux Review
Great review Bobby..don't know how I missed it? I will be trying this product for sure. Do you have any information (or maybe Corey or Avi can chime in) about the shelf life once opened? If it will last for several different applications, then shelf life will be an issue. I'd love to see a side by side with this and C4.

Re: CarPro CQuartz DLux Review
I will be watching this thread for sure, for durability updates. My DD ( Honda CR-V ) has a ton of black plastic trim, and its a real chore to apply Super VRT after every wash. Actually, it probably only needs it every other wash, It holds up pretty well. But not 6 months well, that would be awesome!

Excellent review Bobby. Like others said, shory, to the point and you showed some photographer talent there too buddy .
I have a couple of questions:
1) does the insert inside the bottle provide a drop at a time?
2) If you've used C4 before how do the products compare in terms of ease of use, etc.? I know at this point you can't address the durability yet but I'll be watching this thread for updates.
Thanks for putting the review together

Re: CarPro CQuartz DLux Review
Bobby, excellent review my friend!!
I just used it fourth of July myself and was also blown away. Tested it next to my other two favorites.
Richy, it has the standard shelf life claim. 1 year, or 6 months after being open if kept out of sun in a climate controlled environment.
Mike, it's easier to use than C4 from an application standpoint, not that C4 is too terribly difficult.
The look is very similar although I haven't placed them side by side. On the same panel.
Setec, durability is what we all wait for right? Europe has a video showing 5 months and still going strong. I'll post something when I hit 3 months with pictures from before and after, etc. Been two weeks so far and so dark it grabs my attention when I pull in behind wifes car. Hasn't lost a bit of darkness yet.

Awesome, thanks Bobby.
I went ahead and ordered it anticipating you would say what you just said. That and Troy said over in his review that it is still going strong.

Re: CarPro CQuartz DLux Review
so when ur ready to put another layer of this? How do u prep it?
Just clean with APC? Wipe down with eraser and put a new layer?
can this be applied to the weather stripping that sandwich the window glass?

To tell you the truth I'm not sure as I haven't tried it.
From my testing and evaluation I detect no oiliness or slipperiness and once it dries it appears to be of a more natural appearance.

Hi Richy,
I's been open since July and I see no thickening like the earlier versions of CarPro CQuartz paint protection.
I have used it 3 times since opening the bottle. Once I'm through I seal it tightly and store it in the plastic bag it was shipped in.

You're Welcome!
- The plastic insert does make it easy to dispense 1 drop at a time.
- If you've ever applied a clear sealant CarPro DLux is just as easy. I spread it evenly and try not to over apply it because like anything else, when the piece reaches its maximum absorption any excess must be removed.
- The mirrors are what I call the most porous plastic on my truck and are amazingly dark even at the 6 month mark. CarPro DLux is holding its own very well against Solution Finish yet at less than 1/2 the price
