    Griots MF Towels

What do you guys think of Griots MF towels? My local auto parts store now caries 3 kinds: spray detailer(blue), waterless wash(green), wax removal (white). The green seemed the plushest, so I bought them. Along with some Griots blue applicator sponges. My only experience with pro detailer MF is the Cobra gold plush that comes with the Opticoat. I have a few of those. However the Cobras seemed "picky" to me. Since I'm a hobbyist I'm not as familiar as many of you with quality towels. To me, the Griots seemed very soft and plush (and AG sells them). How do these towels compare to other quality towels? They cost about $17.00 for 3, which may be a little high. To me, the Griots seem more like a microfiber for not installing scratches, as they just feel soft. Are these good towels, or just OK? How about compared to Cobra? For all I know, the Cobra towels are what quality towels should feel like, but to me the feel picky and the fibers seem stiff. If I rub a Cobra across my palm I can feel it grabbing the skin, other MF towels I don't notice it. What do you think?

    Re: Griots MF Towels

Those 3 are my main go to towels for paint. I use them as they are designed. Green for waterless, Blue for Speedshine and White for wax removal.

I have had a few that linted after a few washes. I just throw them away.

I also love those blue sponges for tire dressing and for dressing the plastic trim on cars. Of course, I use a different one for each of those jobs.

I've tried many different towels and the Griot's are my favorite. I have not used the green ones but the blue, yellow and white are very good.

I like the short nap white ones, but the shaggy green and blue lint too much for my liking.

I often use WW towels for QDs amd waterless wash (light dirt) to eliminate linting.

I have the yellow and white for removing polishes and wax as well as their huge waffle drying towels and surprisingly haven't gotten around to trying the one for quick detailer. Like other products they sell, quality is first rate!

I have their blue (for QD), white (wax), green (waterless wash)and orange (sealant). I like them all but my current favorite is the green.

Thanks for all your input guys! Now I know these are pretty good towels and it's great I can get them OTC with no shipping. Anyway, what's the intended use of those supper fluffy towels that advertise there weight, like 560 or 880 g/m^2. Do you guys like those? Are they worth the extra cost? I'm wondering if there very grabby, which I don't like. To be honest, a lot of OTC towels seem softer than the Cobras, that's what confused me to begin with. However, they don't have the nap or weight of the Cobras, so it's hard for a hobbyist to choose what's least likely to mar black paint. I have been using Costco towels (yellow / 35 pack). To me they feel pretty substantial and soft when new. However, I keep reading that they are no good, so I don't know. For the price, you can use a new one frequently, and the don't lint. However, they are not supper plush, they have shorter fibers. I also got some Cobra Mango Breeze economy towels from AG. To me they are to thin to use for almost anything
