Test of Meguiars Brake Dust Barrier

I pretty much hate the dust the stock pads produce. Just a matter of days until a clean wheel is covered. In an attempt to remedy the situation, at least until I get the Hawk HPS pads on, I thought I would try this new stuff from Meguiars.

Applied according to directions. Sorry for the poor quality pictures, but it was cloudy and late in the day yesterday. The cleaned wheel was simply sprayed off with the hose. I do use a fire hose type nozzle so pressure is a little better. I think if a pressure washer was used, you could probably do better. Certainly not perfect and not good enough to not hand wash, but the wheels do spray off cleaner than without the product. Funny thing, the front sprayed off better than the rear even though they had more brake dust on them.

Since I now have the new pads, I gave the rest to my buddy to test on his Boxster with aftermarket wheels.

So this stuff only makes cleaning easier? Did you notice a reduced amount of build up with this product applied? And thanks for the review.

Can't say I noticed any less build up. If it was less, it was not much less.
