    New Blackfire Midnight Sun

First off, a huge thanks to Autogeek for giving all of us at the detailing boot camp a free jar of the new Blackfire Midnight Sun Paste Wax. Secondly, I took about a million before and after and 50/50 photos, and for some reason my camera didn't save any of them, so you'll have to take my word for it when I say this stuff is awesome.
I clayed first with Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay and then applied the wax by machine with a Lake Country-Hydro Tech red pad. I allowed the wax to dry for about a half hour and it came off really easily, it also worked great on my windshield. It didn't feel quite as slick as Souveran which I usually use but (and I'm saying this from memory) I would say the two are very comparable in gloss and depth. Since there aren't any photos, I guess that's all I have to say.

    Regards,

    Max

    Re: New Blackfire Midnight Sun

I am a big fan of Midnight Sun. Even though they say it is a WOWO product, I still let it dry a little. The slickness is a little low, but after waiting the cure time I will go over the car with Wet Diamond Polymer Spray. It brings the slickness right back.

Add to the thanks to AG for the gift at Boot Camp. I am a huge Black Fire fan. Midnight Sun over Wet Diamond is the best I have found. Glad you have had a chance to use yours. We have had rain most every day since I got back from Stuart.

I'm not sure what problem some people have with Max. Max is a great guy with a lot of energy and an intelligent approach to detailing. I wish I had that much going for me when I was his age. He has worked hard and will be a big success IMO. By the way, this does not come from reading his posts. I worked side by side with Max at Boot Camp and was very impressed with his work ethic and eagerness to learn.

I never let it dry but I will comment that the slickness increases the day after in which I imagine the wax fully hardens and the polymers fully bond.
