    Re: Review: Meguiars Ultimate Protectant

    Thanks guys!

I appreciate the tip Shane. I felt like it got darker when I applied a little more and I never got runs so I'm not sure but next time I'll revisit the application method as you show.

Bobby, glad you reminded me its update time! Just yesterday (3 weeks since application) I took a look at that car and I can see it fading a little. It still looks very good but the UTTG from awhile back is noticeable darker now. I'll post some pictures in the next day or so.

    Very user friendly product
Lasting longer than I expected and looking good...
    Won't touch UTTG in durability

Corey, do you find UP to darken the trim more than UTTG?

MU is the best product I have used on running boards. It looks great aYet another masterful review Corey!nd isnt at all slippery. Its durability does not rival UTT IMO.

Great job on the review CDog

Megs has a nice performing OTC line (and Professional line for that matter).

On the badly faded trim I've tested I do find the UP to initally be just slightly darker than UTTG. After a few days to a week I would say they are even depending on the weather and then within 2-3 weeks the UTTG is noticeable darker.

Thanks for the added info and the compliment Jim! Another product with which I agree on your analysis of.

Thanks mdb They have sooo many products to me it is just overwhelming but they definitely have some winners. I have used a few of their products and can only think of 1 that I have been dissapointed with.

Was this review on Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant or Ultimate Protectant Trim Restorer? I was at Advance Auto and noticed they had both.
