I have Ace Hardware buckets. I used an empty milk jug, filled it with water, poured it in the bucket and marked the outside of the bucket with a Sharpie. Repeat until you have all your markings. Mine are marked to 3.5 gallons.

Yeah, I've done that before with brewing buckets (when I used to brew beer). Just haven't gotten around to it on my Z buckets. Though it's not hard to get a general 'eyeball' of how much you've got in after you've done it enoough.

I don't believe these were BOGO's. They just did a free bucket with an order this past week. They could have been VIP, but I don't remember.

Yes they were -- well, the black (?) ones were but Meghan allowed me to sub.

A bucket is a bucket but a bucket with a gamma seal lid is special. The BOGO was quite timely.

TheBy had red ones BOGO. Al was smart enough to call and horse trade.
BTW you can get Gamma Seals seperately if you search. US Plastics is a good source but their shipping is high.

    Jim,
When I ordered a bucket and grit guard last year, I didn't get the gamma guard lid. I thought that I could get one after the fact but the guys at AG suggested that it was very difficult to fit the lid.

In hindsight, I probably should have sent it back and gotten the one with the lid as was offered. I had no idea that the translucent bucket had markings. Bummer. I would have gotten that one instead had I known.

Kurt, they are not hard to add. They snap on but it is much easier if you have a rubber mallet. I suspect I know who gave you the bum dope, but I wont post a name on here. I would look on usplastics.com. Well worth it IMO!

I tried that with auto zone and advanced auto wash buckets but the grit guard didn't fit. It only went about 2/3 of the way down.

Found the website. Thanks! I should have just bought the bucket with the lid.
