PR Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0

    Introduction:

I have been using products from 3M, Norton and the Megiuar twins of 205 and 105. I decided to try the Wolfgang TSR based on forum feedback. The test Subject is the deck lid of my severely abused 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage.

Product description: (Taken from the bottle)
Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover is an all purpose polish to remove all degrees of swirls. Rather then two seperate polishes, one polish does it all! Removes light to heavy swirls, scratches, and oxidation without causing new swirls or excessive dusting. You control the aggressiveness of the polish by your pad selection. A blend of lubricants and diminishing abrasives enable the polish to work on any type of blemish without scratching. Does no contain fillers.

    Initial product observations:

    1 Manufacture claims are true.
2 Packaging is a black plastic bottle with a flip top cap.
3 Directions are clear and concise.
4 Consistency is like that of a hand lotion.
    5 Color White.

    Additional items used

    Mother's car wash
Clay magic clay bar and spray lubricant
    Porter Cable 7336
    Orange Lake country CSS pad
    IPA
    Norton blue painters tape
    3M vinyl tape

Weather Conditions where 80 degrees with 80% humidity and overcast.

Here are some before pics of the test panel.

As you can see in the above photo's there is alot of oxidation and etching.

Procedure was a quick wash with Mothers car wash and an IPA wipe down followed by a good claying. As you can see in this picture the decklid had alot of contaminants.

Here is a Photo after the first complete pass on the decklid.

Here is a close up after the second pass.

As you can see there is quite a big difference.

    Pro's:
1 Long work time even in high temps and humidity
    2 Very minimal dusting
3 Can be used as a single stage polish
4 Very versatile depending on the pad used
5 A little product goes a long way
    Cons

1 The only con i can say in the price for the size bottle you get but you only need to use a little product.

Conclusions Wolfgang TSR is a Great product very user friendly and easier to use then some of the other offerings on the market. Very nice to have a Swirl remover the leaves little to no dust. Wipes off easily and leave a clean finish with little to no micro marring.

This is my First review here on AG and i hope all you Geeks find it useful.

TSR is a great polish and finishes very well on its own, if you really want the cat's meow, then finish up with FG as they are designed as a 1-2 punch !! Nice first review indeed ....

Good review. Did you only use the orange pad?

    Looks great and cool review!

Wolfgang TSR is my go to Swirl Remover. It's consistency is almost identical to Menzerna but with much better workability. Making it my favorite. I believe the price is right. Most of my other polishes clock in right around the same price.

Killer Wheels is 100% accurate when recommending the Wolfgang Finishing glaze with a mild polishing pad. It makes the paint pop, and makes a noticeable difference. My procedure includes FG as a standard step because of the consistent results when used after TSR. Here is a video of a vehicle that truly reveals the results:

Thanks for the review phinox. This just confirms my love for this stuff...It's my go to product for sure! Can't wait to see your review and pictures of the finish glaze.

nice writeup! And i agree about the price, it's the only reason i haven't tried it yet.

The format is somewhat familiar though, sounds like... *giggles*

Re: PR Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0

Did the orange pad leave any hazing? I wouldn't expect any from a white pad but on an orange pad I would.

Also, what would be a better product to use between TSR and WG DGPS - WG Finishing Glaze or WG Pre-Wax Polish Enhancer?
My Versa probably looks better than yours
