M16 Review In Tropical Climate
I was looking for the most durable wax and water spot resistant and finally i got these Meguiar’s Mirror Glaze No. 16
Pros:
1. Hottest weather condition
2. Easy application and light buffing
3. Doesn’t turn white
4. Can be applied by hand / DA / Rotary
Cons:
1. Not suitable to rubber / vinyl
2. hard to buff if to thick when applied.
Tools and eguipment:
1. Clay
2. ONR Quick Detailer
3. Duragloss Polish Bonding Agent 601 (applied on the left hand side from front view)
4. Chemical Guys Pro Polish
5. White LakeCountry Polishing pad
6. Porter Cable 7424 XP
7. Smartwax grey microfiber
8. Foam applicator
Wax application like a soft wax, and oily shows ease application.
here's the pics:
Wax need to be fully haze / dry (swipe test is the most correct indicator before buffing - Thanks to Mike Phillips).
At this side i used bare hands, i want to know is there any look and durability different if applied by foam.
After buffing:
After buffing, the look compare by hand and foam applicator are the same. Now, we have to wait a month after application, to see how durable this wax.
Water beading test (sorry the pics is not to good)
From water beading form, i like it... And the water beading looks like its competitor coll**ite.
Now to test water sheeting, please watch, sorry if the movie is not to good, and also lack of lighting. Its kind a hard to record it, because i am not sed to it, holding a camera on the right hand and pouring water on the left hand. Hehehe.

Sorry if there isn't miss write, any comment and critics are welcome.
Week 2
UPDATE review M16
8 days after applied.
I washed the car twice a week. As you know Jakarta is one of the most poluted city in the world, high humidity and sometimes very hot. A few days ago always rain and my car got easily dirty from other vehicle splashes/sprinkles. Weather is unpredictable sometimes it rains and then got hot. Not to mention i live in a suburbs "Cibubur - Jakarta - Cibubur" (there are a lot of mud, trucks dan motorcycles that are'sprinkling' from the rear tires).
These was it look like before washing each period.
There are 5-10% water spots, but it is still easy to remove by QD. Its shows that M16 protection is wonderful.
After washing:
Now these are some pics just got rain when i am almost arrived at home, the rains is quiet heavy but there's still sunshine. Look at the water beading after i went to office and already covered by dust. (I always park my car under direct sun, there is no shade at all).
Rainbow that are seldom show in Jakarta, now shows. What a wonderful scene, together with a wonderful protected car
I use Mothers Naturally Black, the water beading look alike M16.
Zoom
Wait to next update.
Thank you.

Re: M16 Review In Tropical Climate
Week 3:
1 week i didn't wash my car.
These are the hoods look like
there are some oil splash:
After washing, water spots 10%, but still i can remove it by QD.
Looks still good...
Week 4:
1 week i didn't wash my car, i want to test to its limit.
After washed
Its hard to find water spots to be taken pics. These are the water spots that i cant remove it by QD. There are more, but i can't get the pics. About 30-35% in total.
Now, lets see the water beading.
Water beading already weak, that means i have to re-apply wax. But is it true that there are already no protection?
Please watch.
In the video, i said that on the hood there are still got protection while as the other panel, no protection at all.
I give M16 (for Indonesia/tropical country):
Durability 4,5/5
Look 4/5
Ease of application 3/5
Packaging 3/5
Value for money 4,5/5
OVERALL
Thank you for viewing...

The video link doesn't work. M16 is very nice. I have it on one of our cars. Been about 3 weeks since its last wash. Since then it has seen a lot of rain, snow, ice, cold, and just plain yucky weather. So far it seems to be holding up nicely given all the abuse, but I'll have to see how it's coming along after a good wash.
