IPA = Isopropyl alcohol. It is usually mixed 50/50 with water to be sure there is no residue polish on the paint. The purpose is to insure proper bonding by sealants, etc.

You might need stronger than 50/50 to get DGPS off.

    Thanks for the answer.

I was washing with Dawn, then doing a clay to remove the old wax's. But I can see where an IPA would be good if I was not going to do a clay session..

Oh, I only use Dawn for wax removal. I use other stuff for normal washing.

I will have to try this. I assume its Denatured Alcohol............

Dawn is for dishes, leave it in the Kitchen. Use a dedicated paint cleaner like Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion to remove old wax.

Re: Review of Wolfgang DGPS 3.0

    Understood.

My supply of car care stuff is running out so I am getting ready to order some new stuff to try.

I am going to go the Wolfgang Füzion/DGPS route and see how that works for me. I will have to try the PPC.

Thanks for that bit of advise.

I would have used Denatured Alcohol.

shipkiller,, I make certain that any products I use on my car/paint are safe to use. I think you should take some time to learn about anything you put near your car. better to be safe then sorry when it comes to our cars
