We are probably going to look for a house in Alaska while we are up there that Donna will be comfortable with but the insane prices up there right now are making us hesitate
I had to buy a new circular saw and a reciprocating saw for a project last month even though I already have both in corded and cordless in Alaska
Driving me nuts
I had a nice 12v compressor for the car but I left it out once and it disappeared while we were having work done
Heavy sigh
Is this going to be a second home? As much as you go to visit your family, it wouldn't hurt to have two of everything. Think washer and dryer, you wouldn't want to be without one. Good excuse to Donna why you need another air compressor.

If we end up buying another house in Alaska we will be in a second home mode and I won't have an issue duplicating stuff for over here although I may skip the skis, studded tires, snowshoes, etc
I am the first to admit that she runs the show, and we do what is best for her and her health, so when she makes up her mind I will know which way to go on all this stuff

You’ll know what to think as soon as she tells you what to think!

I agree on the looks; can't get past that. Maybe I'm just shallow??

Re: Need new Tires?
I think they'd sell a lot more if it had some kind of sidewall, even if just the outside, just doesn't look right.

I'm guessing that's a cutaway shot. If they left it open snow, water and other things would get in there causing massive uneven wheel balance making the vehicle almost un-drivable

Re: Need new Tires?
We're living in the dumbest decade in history IMO. Ugly and likely ride like garbage like most run flats tires do.
Can't imagine them in snow filling up and wobbling all over do to balance issues as those pockets get filled with snow. That video doesn't represent real-world snow driving at all.
