I haven’t seen much of any water spotting yet. From what I’ve read, ceramic coatings are prone to water spots before they are fully cured. I’ve seen some nasty water spotting with ceramic coatings, with this one, I haven’t really seen it yet.

Good question.
A few salt/brine/slush storms. 3 touchless washes. One contact wash with me freezing my butt off. The vehicle stays outside so lots of ice.
Upstate NY.

Weird, I've seen a lot of water spotting on vertical surfaces. More than the only ceramic spray I've ever tried. I also have a black truck so it shows really easy along with road film.
I'm not saying it sucks. I'd rather still use it than the wolfgang 6 month spray ceramic.

when people say water spots, we are talking about spots that are not removeable. Almost permanent spots that embed themselves in ceramic coatings. The water spotting you are seeing is probably normal. True ceramic coating water spots are gnarly and almost permanent without polishing or harsh chemicals.
In general: less water beading = less water spots but much worse road film and faster degradation.

Ahem....18 month thread Brump.
I just grabbed this to use on my full wrap PPF . IMO, nothing really last long on PPF so I don't spend top dollar on LSP on PPF.
We'll see how this one lasts

Re: Underrated/Overlooked: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating
HPC performed solidly for 4 straight months (up until it became too cold to hand wash) with NO TOPPERS. Meaning the crazy beading was still there. I made it a point to just simply hand wash with Megs Hyperwash and blow dry/towel dry. This way I could verify its stand alone performance in my environment.
Through the winter my truck saw automatic touchless washes twice a month. I could see that water behavior, coming into spring, was really falling off on the horizontal surfaces but this was likely due to clogging of the coating. My truck is parked in the driveway and is exposed to all elements 24-7.
I've yet to hand wash with a hose this season. Just have done a couple rinseless washes. When I have a chance to do a full decon wash to see if HPC is still hiding underneath I'll report back.
I still think that HPC is a hidden gem that way too many people sleep on for other shiny, new products that hit the market.

Re: Underrated/Overlooked: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating
This is probably not a good -base- to test (PPF). HPC was cheap enough at the purchase price to use above Griots 3-1. Just because per my last post, IME, nothing really last as long on PPF.
But I'm detailing bored so just another product to add to the shelf I suppose.

4 months isn't very impressive. Zaino did that 20 years ago.

Re: Underrated/Overlooked: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating
Boxes arrived today. Can's are tiny.....and I'm generally not the hugest fan of aerosol's in general.
How many coats/cars have you eeked out of 1 can. Maybe 1 1/2 cars ?
I've been using Sonax BSD on my hood recently in lieu=of 3in1
Let's see how long or *not* MHPC will last on PPF.
Like I said in my OP, nothing seems to adhere/last on PPF so ROI is relative to cost of product to some degree..
