I don't like expensive hotels either but if you are going to pack a tent, I tip my hat to you!
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.

So you're kind of like the homeless bum down by the onramp that splurges for prime rib, John??

It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

I do like prime rib, but on the road I'm more of a fast-food guy. I've got miles to get in and little time for eating LOL.

1,433.4 miles in a day is my record (2019). My next best single day is 1,162 miles in 2011.

But whenever I go through Amarillo, Texas, I always stop for a steak at the "Big Texan".

There's one tiny problem with that. Depending on the area of the country, bed bugs are a huge problem, and a stay at a cheap hotel is a good way to "acquire" them.

A tent and a sleeping bag is a much better option ...

I've worked with skilled tradesmen for many, many years. One common mantra is you need to have the right tools for the job. Detailing is something of a skilled trade, so it is completely justifiable to "need" the right tools for the job. And beyond convenience, it saves time. Which equals $'s for those who detail professionallly such as yourself.

I am a big fan of the Griots PFM and my opinion is that it is the best towel on the market. That was until today. I used the Speed Master Notorious DRY for the first time and I was amazed. It immediately soaked up water on the first pass and left nothing behind. The PFM usually needs some moisture before it completely soaks up the water. I still like the PFM but the DRY is my new favorite.

Never had that problem with the PFM’s. That looks eerily like the X-large edgeless PFM. Wonder if their from the same vendors as neither AG or Griots make their own....

Personally I love the PFM’s. Only one that I feel slightly outperforms it is the “sucker”. I currently own all size of grey drying PFM’s, Gyeon silk dryer, CarPro Dhydrate, McKee’s Glaciers, TRC Twistress, Sonax MF drying towel, and just ordered some TRC Gaunlets. Gues I’m gonna have to get a couple of these to test drive.

I get pretty much the same from all my twisted loops. I got some Duplex 18x30 520gsm from MTM that were on sale for $6 and the dry my whole car spotless as well as any of the more expensive towels.

I still prefer 2 16x16 PFM’s just because they are the easiest to use
