Coating lite all winter test.
So i’ve been procrastinating for ever and finally going to do a test.
Dr. Beasley’s Plasma Coat vs Adams Graphene spray coat vsPBL Diamond Surface Coating vs ?
Was going to make 4th Gyeon Can coat but that hardened up. Don’t have CQ lite as had to many lites to use up.
I have Moonlight but it is over year old. According to what I’ve read it should be fine as no change in consistency. Other would be PA Cosmic or Overcoat. OC is v1 so i think that should be out and forgot to order Primer spritz over black friday for Cosmic. Thinking Moonlight.
Any thoughts from the community?
Could probably split 4th section and half/half Cosmic and OC or some other product y’all like to see.
Also I know PBL DSC says 3 years but from what i’ve read comparing to 1 year products makes sense.

Re: Coating lite all winter test.
So tonight in prep I did a Pure Rinseless followed by a clay with Mother’s OTC clay and splitting the hood using Ceramic speedshine and Meg’s Ceramic QD as lubes. I then did an eraser wipe down.
I skipped iron X as i didn’t feel like hose washing hood and to be honest i’ve never seen a single stream of purple from the three cars i’ve used on.
Note: i did in brake rotors and calipers but not paint or wheels.
I may polish in morning but may not as i feel it won’t hinder performance just looks and i’m not worried about that during winter with Covid won’t be going anywhere much.
Any thoughts by tomorrow 10am PST would be appreciated.

Cool test.
Where in the country will this "All Winter Test" be performed?

Re: Coating lite all winter test.
Hood was never coated and hasn’t seen an LSP in 6 months
Was Washed with a “stripping” rinseless, clayed and erasered yesterday.
Polished. Was going to use essence but did’t any thing left behind so just used up some old Adams correcting polish and a green LC CCS on g15.
Erasered again.
I could not find a cure time for DSC, ML and AGSC need for hours.
Plasma coat cures in one hour but does say you should not get wet for 7 days. Not gonna happen so this is only one that will see a topper ( DRB advanced coat gloss).
All will get roughly 20 hours.
All were applied as recommended by Manufacturer. (Moonlight and DSC kinda vague). Applied 2 coats.

Coating lite all winter test.
Thoughts on application in order from least to favorite.
TS Moonlight:
Easy to apply. Real grabby on removal (30 sec and 1 min dwell time) strongest chemical scent.
Adam’s Graphene Spray Coating:
Easy on pretty easy off. Longest dwell time at 1-2 minutes. Strong chemical scent.
Dr.Beasley’s Plasma Coat:
This almost was 1 because of the wax like application. Easy removal but kinda greasy. Im sure it was me from over applying. No real odor of note. This is on and off stuff.
PBL Diamond Surface Coating:
At first tried this with MF suede applicator and block. Really grabby. Switch to a Saver applicator and smooth like butter. Kinda melted into paint. Easiest buff off. I’ll feel paint later tonight but can tell this is sooooper slick,

Re: Coating lite all winter test.
Just added the Dr.s AdvancedCoat: Gloss. Went on easy. The panel kinda soaked it up. Easy buff to a shine.

Where’s the AdvanceCoat end up on the vehicle?
