Re: Product Review: Wolfgang Si02 Paint Sealant
Finally got to detail the Jeep this weekend with Wolfgang's Si02 Paint Sealant. Impressed doesn't even cover it. I've used a lot of other products but dont picture trying anything else anytime soon. I love it that much. The ease of application and removal for these results is beyond impressive. Even when i was an idiot and let a small section sit for nearly 45 minutes it still buffed right off with no issue.
Unfortunately this vehicle will spend a lot of time in the drive way underneath my towering trees in the yard. I woke up this morning to the usual droplets of sap all over the vehicle. I headed out with a few microfibers and the Si02 waterless wash and was rewarded with paint that felt just as good if not better than yesterday.
Having a terrible time figuring out pictures here... sorry for the link.

So do you guys think this will replace WDGPS? I wanna replace mine but might get this instead. How's etching? Does rain water not sheet well like with most ceramics?

I don’t see why this would replace DGPS, I think both can live harmoniously. Haven’t seen any etching. Water sheets off ceramics for me as soon as car is in motion, same with for WG SiO2 PS.

I mean ceramics are supposedly top dogs against sealants but now this is a sealant ceramic, shouldn't it be ahead of standard WDGPS? Make sense?

It makes sense, yes. I just think each company is going to hold on to their trademark sealant. There’s still plenty of people who don’t care about ceramics and prefer the original. That’s all I was trying to say. I love DGPS, but I already like SiO2 PS more.

I think both Wolfgang and Blackfire have a few too many similar products in the lineup and it's somewhat confusing.

Definitely a beading action and not a sheeting action. As someone else mentioned if you take a drive the car will be nearly dry in short order. I’ve been easily keeping the Jeep clean with waterless wash which includes the misting of tree sap I get everyday the car sits in the driveway. Lol. Everything wipes away with no effort. Having a white vehicle I also enjoyed driving around in the rain the other day and bringing home a nearly clean and dry car after the rain has stopped. Just had to wipe a couple areas behind the wheels.
