ultima tire and trim protectant?
Been looking for a new tire protectant and like the reviews on UTTP. I notice its a new formula from the original and most reviews I have seen are from the original formula. I like the fact that I can use it on black plastic trim. Hows the longevity and durability on the new formula? Any tips or tricks with UTTP would be nice also. Thanks!!!

I should have asked if there is a better option out there maybe? I know tufshine is nice but being able to do trim also is a bonus for me.

I am guessing nobody uses ultima tire and trim protection? Seems odd with such good reviews.

Not after they changed the formula.

Thank you very much! You just saved me some $$$. That was the question I asked when I started the thread a week ago, and got no response after 200 views... I also asked if nobody uses uttg, what would be their best choice for a product that could replace uttg? I understand I am a new member and members dont want to give up their "go to" product also. I just like to not waste $$ when I detail my own vehicles. Thanks again @Rsurfer

I used it last 2 years ago it was expensive and attracted dust but wasn’t as bad as a straight silicone dressing but still did. I’ve used ceramic coating and acrylic tire coating on trim with better results. If I’m not Coating I use Perl it easy to put on hit it once a month and its a nice shine with 1-3 weeks durablity.

Thanks for the info. What is the acrylic tire coating you mentioned? I might just have to look into a coating, if I can use it on trim and tires. Looked up the perl and it says up to 3 months protection.

Perl is a water based dressing and like Mgavin said, the durability is 1-3 weeks. Up to 3 months is stretching it somewhat.
Wolfgang's WETS is a great trim sealant. If your trim is old and grimy, use Mother's trim cleaner before applying WETS.
As far as tires go..my go to coating is Tuff Shine, but McKees tire coating is getting some good reviews.

WETS is great.
And so is McKee's plastic trim restore.
I have both, have tested them side by side, and I would swear they are the same product in different bottles.

Renew protect gloz if you purchase and leave review 50 percent off it like liquid plastic apex detail did a recent review on it youtube it’s good stuff plus price point with half off cannot be best
