Hope it's okay for a little off topic.

I think it's only with 220v-240v electric outlets. It's used by many pro detailers in Sweden. When they reach to intricate areas on cars they use only one side and it's works great too. Then it's belt driven to power the backing plates and that's why it's so silent. The rotation is clockwise on the left and counter clockwise to the right which makes it very smooth. For the weekend warrior it's the price of the tool that you can double the cost to a pe14 rotary polisher. And for being used on large flat panels and even slightly curved it's a beast that is very time saving and still produce a high quality finish and cut.

Lets say that you are mobile detailer that do many RV and trucks. You buy a gas powered generator that is 240v and can handle a 1200w electric motor and then a Flex Top Tool 2. You can be polishing them in very much less time than even a rotary polisher would.

Would be intresting to see how the 3401vrg would be with Mille pads and polishes. Maybe it's the larger throw that Flex has that makes it more wearing to polish with.

It was nothing spectacular, I got to play with the pre production unit at Autoality like 3 years back.
It was literally a flex 3401 inside a Xfe7-15 housing with the 3 mounting studd Backingplate..

I'm hearing rumors it's now going to have a 6mm orbit
