Re: Meguairs non-acid wheel cleaner
At 2:1 mix, I like it a lot, but I do agree with Hammer, it's not the strongest cleaner I have used. On really bad wheels, I like Meg's Hot Rims Wheel & Tire Cleaner for getting the stubborn brake dust and tire blooming off without major effort.

I have a bottle at 2:1 and 1:1. Ive had a lot of compliments on customers wheels/hub caps. Does a great job.

Supposedly works well at water spot removal on paint.

At 1:1 do you see the tires getting cleaner vs 2:1? I've only used d143 at 2:1.
I rarely need it on my own wheels, just soap and dedicated wash mitt. It would be a waste at 1:1 for my personal wheels.

I bet it works well at removing a lot of stuff from paint. I believe Darren Priest used it on a Bentley grill. I'd be too scared to even experiment.

I'm with you on the whole ammonium biflouride/acid thing. I don't even like bringing WB out when my kids are around. But it sure does work well on caked on brake dust. Wish I would have never bought it and just stuck to Sonax or D143.

IMHO:
Without the proper PPE...it's very
unhealthy (not good) to ever use
WB---even for its original, and
intended, purpose.
With that being said:
You can rest assured that...unless you
are Certified---having received formal
HF-training---and have access to (and
will actually use) the proper PPE...then
there'll be no recommendations forth-
coming from me to use WB anywhere,
anytime, or on anything.

Can anyone compare it to Flash Brown Royal? It's one of the only non-AG products that I use. I've been going through about 16oz of [diluted] product every time I do wheels/tires.

I've never done a side by side on the same wheel so I dunno. I have always just gone by feeling on which one to use. Probably not MUCH difference. Lightly dirty wheels and tires I just use the 2:1.

I totally understand, I've been told from some really reliable sources that blooming or browning is natural and not a indication of a dirty tire.
