    McKees37 Hydro Blue Sio2 Spray

This is my review of McKees37 Hydro Blue Spray Coating. I was fortunate to receive a bottle from Nick to try and I know that several reviews have been done already but I thought I would share my experience with the product. I have always been a huge fan of Carpro's Hydro 2 since it's release. Although I don't typically use Hydro 2 as an LSP, my primary application of the product has always been for wheel protection and maintenance. When I found out that McKees37 was releasing a Sio2 spray I was very excited to give it a try.

    Product Description:

    McKees37 Hydro Blue Spray

-Spray on, Rinse Off Nano Coating
    -Extremely High Gloss Finish
    -Safe on ALL Exterior Surfaces
    -Slick & Hydrophobic

    Cost: $17.99 for 16 oz

    McKee's 37 Hydro Blue Sio2 Coating

I have been using Hydro 2 to protect the wheels on my 2006 Dodge Ram. I think there is not an easier and simpler way to protect you vehicles wheels. Spray, rinse, dry, protected. It can't get any easier than that. My wheels are so easy to clean after the application and I can't remember the last time I had to use any type of wheel cleaner on my wheels.

    Use and Observations:

I found McKee37's to be super easy to use and I found I was using the same amount of Hydro 2. I tend to "over apply" and mist it in sweeping motions. The gloss and hydrophobic properties on my wheels was identical to my use of Hydro 2. I am not sure of durability yet but I had no issues with streaking even when using in direct sun. The price point is excellent compared to Hydro 2. I will be switching over to Hydro Blue for all of my wheel protection needs. Another great product from McKees37.

Not sure if you've had it on your wheels long enough to be able to tell a difference, but how has brake dust/general dirt level been in comparison to Hydro 2? My wife's summer wheels are a nightmare to clean/treat, so I'm looking at spray on options to be able to keep my sanity...

Good review although I'm Not sure how it's a better price point? $17.99 for 16 oz. vs hydro2 lite $24.99 for a liter. (33.814 oz)

Call it 74 cents an once for hydro2 lite. $1.12 an once for the mckees

If you buy Mckee's HB by the gallon it's a terrific value.

I've used it on both my Subaru and Audi Wheels - definitely helps with brake dust - but requires upkeep - I'm about a month in and it probably could use a refresh... But I have a gallon of the stuff and it's super easy to re-apply.

Thanks for the info - picked up a bottle to try during the 20% off + free shipping deal. Looking forward to trying it!

For those going for full car coverage - how many applications do you see per bottle?

So what do you use on your paint? I would think if HB is good for your wheels, it should be good for your paint since it's so easy to apply.

I did my first complete car with it and used very little. I would estimate I will get 8-10 applications on my car with a 16 oz bottle. You really don't need much at all. Hard to tell for sure and I won't use the bottle up for a while so this is an estimate.
