    Griot's Black Shine

Half way through trying this new tire dressing from Griots, I figured I would do a little review.

From Autogeek "Here's how Griot's Garage Black Shine High Gloss Tire Spray works: For an intense, high-gloss shine Spray Griot's Garage Black Shine High Gloss Tire Spray directly to your tires…and wait. The longer it sits, the glossier it gets! Then, using a tire applicator pad, spread Griot's Garage Black Shine HIgh Gloss Tire Spray evenly around the tire and allow to dry."

I sprayed the dressing onto the tire, let it sit for 30 seconds then wiped it with an applicator. I am a fan of more glossy tires, and am happy with the amount of gloss that the product created.

In about 30 minutes the dressing was dry to the touch.

A little product goes a long way. I put a marker line on the bottle to show the starting amount of product, but the marker didn't stick to the bottle very well. My finger shows starting and ending point.

Below are some pictures of the results...

I would like to thank my little helper pits, Jinx. She scared away a bird that may have been planning to poop on my car. My other dog was too busy sun bathing to care.

Never tried the tire gel, so I can't offer any comparison. If durability is decent, this might be used in conjunction with Backfire tire gel, my current favorite. Thanks for the complement about my dog, she is indeed awesome!

I too bought this product when it came out and really like it, a lot! I spray it on the applicator and then wipe it in to eliminate any product getting on the rims.

I used it on my wife's tires as well as mine, in the winter and we got a solid month out of it but there was surely some tire coating still there but I will say they never ever browned in that month. I just felt like it needed a sprucing up.

This is yet another outstanding product from Griot's!!

The gel formula was terrible, IMO. Not sure if the spray will be better.

Tires look nice and shiny but don't have that slimy look, which a lot of customers of mine like. May have to give this a shot. Sweet car and beautiful dog. I miss my Pit everyday.

I agree, my wife's parents have a little dachshund, maybe 10 lbs. that dog is 100x more vicious than my two pits, my bigger pit Echo has a scar on her nose where the little dachshund bit her. Echo simply flopped on her back and waited for us to take the dog away she didn't even fight back. If a Pit left a scar on another dog, everyone would make a huge fuss. I look at it like humans, we have good and bad people, race is not a factor. With dogs and their "race" it's the same thing you have good and bad unfortunately the bad pit bulls ruin it for everyone. I should say the bad pit bull owners ruin it, I don't think a dog is born to attack, it has to be trained.

Fly I'm so sorry about your pit, I will be a mess when ours are gone, I hate thinking about that. My wife and I plan to foster pits when she finishes her schooling. We can be part of the positive media that these dogs need to get homes they deserve.
