The magic happens for me @ 1:128 for D114.

While it is recommended for heavily soiled situation, I preferred all my washing at this mixture. Somewhat 'slimy,' but boy does it clean like no one's business. The way the wash media glides over the surface and carves out a clean path is something else. Part of the reasons why I went through the stuff so quickly.

Going to do the same with N-914. I might not touch the 1:256 at all, if only out of curiosity. If it's anything like D114 (and looks like it does), I might not see much of the ratio.

Yea I know what you mean, I only ever use[d] D114@1:128 and never mixed up a batch @1:256 ever..

The 1 thing I'll miss is D114's scent. I can't recall what the Mckee's smells like right now.. I tried Mckee's High Foaming Car Wash today for the 1st time and it smells just like wintermint gum. Lol.

A very nice & mild scent, unlike most of Meg's sugary, candy-like offerings.

I've actually found another gallon tucked away while digging for D108. Must have picked it up from another sale and forgot about it.

Poor D114. Short-lived, but with a well-earned reputation. One helluva product.

    You shall be missed.

If you had me to take the Pepsi challenge, I wouldn't be able to tell you which 1 is which. They both work and feel identical, and that's a good thing.Mckee's N-914 Rinseless Wash - Review

The only perceivable difference to me is the smell - McKee's has a harsh, acidic sort of scent and D114 has a old musky Kool-Aid scent. I can spray D114 all day long and will not suffer an I'll effect, but just one or two sprays of N-914 and my throat and eyes start burning like crazy. With that said, I'm going to continue to use both (I still have over three gallons of D114 concentrate left).

I think they both have a similar non offensive clean crisp light scent.

Great review Eldo, I too can't say enough about N914. I plan on using it this weekend on a 77' Celica Liftback that I'm doing a one-step on.

Well I'm choosy, so I chose Jif.

Don't believe me? Let's ask Mikey.

If he doesn't remember, talk to Pepperidge Farm.

Bummer! I've found both to be quite pleasant to work with. ONR is the only rinseless that gets to me after a while.
