And it's not a solution to already degrading UV coat, because at that point you'll have to polish it off before it can look new again to apply this new coat? This won't just band aid a nasty headlight in 1 step.

Yes i am aware, but it is just a band aid fix for already stuffed headlights, IMO And as for the wolfgang plastic sealant it's like
sunscreen for you headlights, stops them from getting sun burnt lol, and i never forget to apply.
When your looking at $600 to $1600 for 1x genuine headlight for my make. =)
We have very high UV level's in Australia not let alone in Tasmania.

Do you spray and then wipe this to smooth? Or simply spray and leave it alone?

You don’t want to touch it once it’s sprayed on the headlight. Just spray and leave it alone.

Will it be good to apply Meguairs Headlight Coating on brand new headlights?

It can be applied, the only thing is that it’s longevity against UV rays is about 1yr. and once you hit that mark there’s not really an easy way to remove it.
Call Meguiars and ask them for the best answer. 1-800-347-5700

All the coating folks I spoke to at Mobile Tech Expo about this said you need to remove the factory coating (usually requires sanding it off) to get the best results on headlights.
