Interior Detail using 3d LVP and MC1385 Steam Cleaner

I recently purchased a new McCulloch MC1385 Steam Cleaner. I initially bought it from Amazon via "warehouse deals". Long story short I sent it back and ended up going to Fry's and buying one. I ended up getting it way cheaper then Amazon from Fry's somehow. It rang up cheaper then the price was displayed and I did not argue about it haha.


I did an interior detail today on a vehicle that I did an exterior detail on Sunday. I followed it up with a ONRWW wash.

I decided to use 3d LVP diluted 10:1. This stuff works great and smells identical to leather. It foams up well when agitated also. I didn't take more pics while in use because I didn't have a lot of time. I also used a small detail brush. I sprayed the cleaner on the bristles then applied it to the area I was cleaning. I then followed up with the steam cleaner. The inside on the passenger side had a lot of makeup build up on the material as seen in the photos. The vehicle is only a few years old so it was not too bad. The steering wheel was almost white from makeup build up also. The photo I took didn't show it too well due to bad lighting. You can see the makeup all over the passenger door.


The steam cleaner comes with 23 attachments that are shown in the Amazon link. I used the small detail brush and jet nozzle mostly while doing the inside. I used the triangle brush to clean the carpets. I used Megiuars D101 diluted 10:1 on the interior carpets, seat bases and plastics around door jambs. I used the steam cleaner on the entire inside and it worked phenomenal. The only issue I have is that if you leave it sit for a period of time water builds up and when you first hit the trigger a bunch of water shoots out and spills all over. I used cotton towels on the floors and plastic around door jambs. I attached the cotton rag around the end of the steam cleaner attachment. I used a rubber band to hold the towel on securely. The towel cleaned up and absorbed very well. I would never ever use one of those towels on the paint or even the glass honestly. I got them for using with the steam cleaner and they are cheap enough to throw away if you get them too dirty.




I followed up with 3d HD Glass on the interior windows. It has some fog inhibitors apparently. I did all the interior with AeroSpace 303 Protectant. I used the ONRWW on the door jambs to finish it off.

I just bought the same steam cleaner as well and have been very impressed so far! I just did an interior last week as well that needed some lovin. The steam cleaner made things much easier then it used to be without it. Was a much worth it purchase! Here are a few pics as well with what I was working with.

Nice! Turned out good. Yeah I love it and can't wait to use it some more. I will try to take more pics next time. What did you use on that vehicle chemical wise?

I used Wolfgang carpet and upholstery restorer for the most part. I also used some Meg's APC in a few areas. The floor mats I used the Wolfgang spot eliminator.
